Delegates to MTA Annual Meeting and NEA Representative Assembly

MTA affiliates elect local delegates to the MTA Annual Meeting and NEA RA.

Annual Meeting Ethnic Minority delegates
Deadline for retired delegates is 5 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2025.
Deadline for active delegates is 5 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2025.

Massachusetts is also represented by statewide regional and retired delegates to NEA RA.

MTA and NEA Offices
  • Executive Committee: Regions B, D, E, and H
  • Board of Directors: Districts 10B, 33C, 36C, 41C, 29D, 39E, 40E, 12F, 13F, 16G, 17G, 20G, 45H, 48H, and 49H
  • Statewide Retired District Directors on the MTA Board of Directors (Two seats)

Nomination Papers can be requested as of July 1, 2024. The deadline for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on March 7, 2025.

NEA Offices for MTA

  • Three NEA Director seats and up to six Alternates, representing the active membership.

Nomination papers can be requested as of September 1, 2024. The deadline for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on January 10, 2025.

Retired Members Committee

Nominations are now open for the four seats on the Retired Members Committee.

The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on March 7, 2025.

Nominations are now open for the election of members to serve on the Candidate Recommendation Committee members representing Congressional Districts 1, 3 & 4.

The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m., December 30, 2024.

Bylaws and Standing Rules

Proposed revisions to MTA Bylaws and Standing Rules are now being accepted.

Bylaws: Deadline is 5 p.m. on January 10, 2025.

Standing Rules: Initial deadline is 5 p.m. on January 10, 2025.

Resolutions

Proposed revisions to MTA Resolutions are now being accepted.

Deadline is 5 p.m. on January 10, 2025.

Election Waiver: If the number of candidates is equal to or less than the number of positions to be filled, elections may be waived and the candidates declared elected to the positions in question.
